BEACH

Le Touquet is on a part of the coastline of northern France which is known as the "Côte d'Opale" (the "Opal Coast"). It has a long sandy beach.

AQUALUD

Aqualud is a large water activity centre located next to the main beach. Half of the centre is outdoors, and half is under cover. There is an entrance charge (2004: €14 for 3 hours; 10% reduction for students).

RESTAURANTS

There are many restaurants in the streets near to the beach. Seafood is a speciality of this area.


In fine weather you can enjoy eating outside

Independent travel to Le Touquet:
By car: use Eurotunnel or ferry services to get to Calais, join the A16 motorway and leave this at exit 26 (Etaples-Le Touquet)
By train: take the Eurostar train service from London (or Ashford) to Lille. Use local train services to reach Etaples sur Mer, then take a bus to Le Touquet. Alternatively, take a train to Dover, take the ferry to Calais, and take a train to Etaples sur Mer, then take a bus to Le Touquet.
By air: there are direct flights to Le Touquet airport from these UK airports:
