Austria Belgium Bulgaria (*) Cyprus Czech Republic Denmark Estonia Finland France Germany Greece Hungary Iceland () Ireland Italy	Latvia Liechtenstein () Lithuania Luxembourg Malta Netherlands Norway () Poland Portugal Romania (**) Slovakia Slovenia Spain Sweden United Kingdom	European Economic Area countries (from January 2007)
() These countries are not members of the European Union (EU) (*) Bulgaria and Romania joined the EU and EEA on 1 January 2007 (there are special rules about working in the UK)		European Economic Area countries (from January 2007)

From November 2008 employers in the UK need a sponsor licence to be able to bring in a migrant worker from outside the EEA (under the points-based system for immigration).
