INTRODUCTION


This page is a brief guide to the performance art production "Blue Man Group".

Blue Man Group is a US-based arts collective. It has been performing in the US since 1991.

It is not currently performing in the West End (previously it was on at the New London Theatre, Drury Lane, London).

There is no story - it is a series of musical/visual performances.

Recipe:

- Take some marshmallows, jelly, Rice Krispies and cakes
- Add drumming, live rock music and a bit of Gregorian chant
- Add paint, lights, text, animation, paper and shaving foam
- Add audience participation, a live video camera and some technological wizardry
Mix together and enjoy and evening of non-stop fun and stimulation of your senses!

SUITABILITY


English:
If you are not a native English speaker you can enjoy this show: there's lots of action, but not many words
Age: The main audience for this show is young adults (eg: ages 18-40)
Warnings: There is strobe lighting during the performance. Note that there is no break during the performance (1 hour 45 minutes).
Music: Much of the music is percussion-based, with electric guitar
