New Year's Day Parade, London

The New Year's Parade is a free event which has taken place in London each New Year's Day since 1987. More than 10,000 performers take part, helping to raise money for charity. There are marching bands and cheerleaders: many of these travel from the US to take part. There are also historic vehicles, animals, clowns and giant balloons.

These photos were taken at the parades in 2004 and 2003. For photos taken at the 2006 parade, see: Ideas/Album/NewYearsDayParade
